Il 2012 in rassegna

Il 2012... Oramai un lontano ricordo. Ma certamente un anno di notevole peso discografico.

Ancora una volta - nonostante un mercato sempre meno interessato al supporto discografico 'fisico' - i dischi pubblicati sono stati centinaia.

Come sempre, su All About Jazz abbiamo segnalato i lavori che ci sembravano meritare maggiore attenzione di settimana in settimana [clicca qui per la lista dei CD della settimana].

Ma, come lo scorso anno, abbiamo voluto aggiungere un'altra angolazione, anch'essa soggettiva, a questa retrospettiva discografica sui dodici mesi che sono da poco trascorsi. In calce troverete le playlist dei dischi preferiti dai nostri redattori.

E come lo scorso anno, Franco D'Andrea continua a imperare, con Traditions and Clusters che prevale numericamente su Snakeoil di Tim Berne, The Cherry Thing di Neneh Cherry & The Thing, Ten Freedom Summers di Wadada Leo Smith e Tomorrow Sunny / The Revelry, Spp di Henry Threadgill. Insomma, i vecchi maestri avant prevalgono, ma sempre meno timorosi gli emergenti Mary Halvorson, Rob Mazurek e Vijay Iyer continuano a delineare un percorso artistico molto personale che li stanno imponendo all'attenzione di critici e appassionati.

Ora passiamo al 2013... chissà quante altre belle vibrazioni...
