Maria Muldaur: Heart of Mine - Love Songs of Bob Dylan -
Dopo essere stata una delle testimonianze nel ritratto di Scorsese dedicato a Bob Dylan, No Direction Home, la cantante aveva a disposizione un immenso repertorio nel quale gettarsi con la sua voce intrigante e lievemente increspata, testimone dei ricordi spesi tra il Greenwich Village e il Newport Folk Festival, quando fare musica era un “impegno”.
Heart of Mine più che essere un patinato e scontato tributo è un’immersione, un rovistare dentro l’intimità di un grande del Novecento nella musica popolare. I brani interpretati dalla versatile artista americana sono tratti dai dischi meno amati (Planet Waves, Shot of Love), sono scarti di altri (Desire) o semplicemente più vissuti (Blood on the Tracks) o ancor di più, segni di eternità (Time Out of Mind, Love and Theft, dell’ultima produzione).
Un cd che serve a spazzare via la polvere dalla memoria.
