Tim Motzer and Markus Reuter: Descending
La musica realizzata dal duo Motzer-Reuter per un concerto live che ha funzionato da base per la successiva registrazione e manipolazione in studio ha delineato un'atmosfera sonora generale molto suggestiva, quasi svuotata di tempo e ritmo. In questo vero e proprio "descending" emotivo in sonorità basse e profonde, le pennellate di Motzer e Reuter sulle corde delle loro chitarre hanno un effetto di grande potenza sonora e intensità emotiva.
La musica delle sei tracce è rarefatta, quasi sfuggente, a tratti impercettibile, se non fosse per alcune lievi "incisioni" sonore realizzate dalle percussioni e dalla pedal steel guitar a dodici corde (ma su tavola sonora già delineata!).
Un progressive minimale e giocato su tonalità bassissime e parossistiche. Per gli amanti del genere, consigliato.
