Rob Mazurek Quartet: Color Systems
Ci sono parlati e sortite quasi rumoristiche, un flautino non accreditato che per logica sarà lo stesso Mazurek a imboccare, segmenti più concitati, nervosi, palpitanti, e altri più lineari (fino a un certo punto, ovviamente), ad attraversare brani di durata svariante fra i quattro e i nove minuti, con un senso della costruzione, della forma complessiva, molto chiaro, leggibile, alternando pressoché fisiologicamente momenti più centrati (prevalenti) e altri magari leggermente dispersivi (proprio a voler trovare il classico pelo nell'uovo), ma sempre dall'alto di una solidità, strutturale ed espositiva, su cui non si possono nutrire dubbi di sorta.
Album di sicuro interesse, quindi. Incisione del gennaio 2022.
