Supersilent: 8
Giungono così in dieci anni, con il loro incedere ermetico - vedansi i titoli degli album e quelli dei brani - al capitolo numero 8 [i primi 3 in un triplo, il settimo in dvd] della loro avventura sonora i norvegesi Supersilent e la formula, che è sembrata da subito vincente, non cambia: tutto improvvisato [dicono loro, non c'è motivo per non credergli, ma nemmeno per credergli, tanto non cambia molto], lunghe sessions da cui estrarre e riprocessare scenari sonori di inquietante fascinazione.
Si va dal metal ovattato all'ambient più claustrofobica, da squarci quartomondisti [in questo senso la tromba dell'ottimo Arve Henriksen gioca sempre un ruolo decisivo] a vortici di psichedelia glaciale, dai sussurri alieni che aprono "8:2" allo stordimento cinematico e percussivo della successiva - bellissima - "8:3".
È musica che cerca - non senza una sua dose di autocompiacimento, ma ci sta - di sfuggire a ogni definizione e fa bene: non solo infatti ci riesce e tiene l'ascoltatore in un continuo stato di vigile apprensione ricettiva, ma gioca sottilmente sull'abilità dei quattro musicisti di evocare i più indomabili fantasmi sonori. Se vedete uno spiraglio nella porta, accomodatevi: il rito incomincia!
