Luca Boscagin: 4Steps

Luca Boscagin è un giovane chitarrista veneto, allevo di Simone Guiducci, che si propone con un album ben suonato, pieno di una verve solare che però non si fa mancare zone di chiaroscuro che propongono una maggiore profondità e suggeriscono una dimensione variegata che va decisamente apprezzata.

Al suo fianco troviamo il trombettista statunitense Kyle Gregory e la sezione ritmica composta dal bassista Giulio Corini e dal batterista Paolo Mappa. Il gruppo dimostra di essere bene affiatato anche se a volte si ha la sensazione che le cose seguano un percorso rituale che si lascia alle spalle la possibilità di guardarsi attorno con la curiosità di scoprire l'inesplorato.

Sei brani sono firmati da Boscagin, uno arriva invece dal book del trombettista e per concludere lo standard "Poinciana" dà modo al gruppo di esplorare lo scenario latino con un bell'arrangiamento che non lascia nulla al caso. La conclusiva "Cynthia" è presa in duo da Boscagin e Gregory impegnati in un canto filigranato che chiude con una delicata nota romantica questo buon lavoro.
