Uno dei miei preferiti assieme agli altri due che cito di seguito. Il lavoro di questo trio e' "Pura Arte". Non ho altro da aggiungere!
02. Paul Motian Trio - Sound of Love (Winter & Winter - 1998).
03. Paul Motian Trio - Motian in Tokio (Winter & Winter - 2004).
04. Paul Motian Quintet - On Broadway - Vol. 3 (JMT -1993).
Anche questo lavoro lo adoro... L'equilibrio, l'eleganza, la poesia espressa da tutti e' incredibile!
05. Lee Konitz & Martial Solal - Star Eyes, Hamburg 1983 (Hatology - 1983).
Due altri musicisti incredibili, in particolare Lee, che adoro, lo definirei il Van Gogh della musica jazz!
06. Bill Frisell - East/West ( Nonesuch - 2005).
Bill è il mio idolo, è unico, geniale e, per restare in tema con la pittura, lo definisco un misto tra Picasso e Dalì !
07. Brad Mehldau - Day Is Done (Nonesuch - 2005).
Intenso e suggestivo Brad Mehldau tesse delle trame armoniche stupefacenti, che uniscono il sapiente lavoro ritmico di Larry Grenadier e Jeff Ballard, dando vita ad una musica ''totale''!
08. Kurt Rosenwinkel - The Enemy of Energy (Verve - 2000).
Uno dei primi suoi lavori, lo trovo fresco, carico e con notevoli soluzioni armonico-melodiche. Direi che assieme a The Next Step è tra i suoi lavori migliori.
09. Bill Frisell - Live at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco 3/16/07.
Un guitar solo senza precedenti! Scaricabile dal suo sito.
10. Bill Frisell - Live at Jazz Alley, Seattle, WA 8/6/11 set 2.
Cosa si può fare con una chitarra, un violino ed una batteria? Anche questo scaricabile dal sito di Frisell.
