10 CD nel CD- Player di... Daniel Erdmann
Grande musica scritta ed eseguita da amici finlandesi ed ispirata da "Shining" di Stanley Kubrick. Orchestrazione meravigliosa, grande allestimento senza batteria ed un fisarmonicista speciale. Oltretutto registrazione impeccabile!
02. Vincent Courtois - L'imprévu (La Buissonne - 2010).
L'album solo di Vincent. Fantastico. Nient'altro da aggiungere.
03. Hasse Poulsen - Progressive Patriots (Das Kapital Records - 2011).
Un vero album Jazz di oggi. Hasse, mio amico e collega in Das Capital, ha scritto grande musica per quintetto con due virtuosi contraltisti francesi. E la band ha Tom Rainey alla batteria...
04. Edward Perraud - Synestetic Trip (Quark Records - 2012).
Edward è mio amico oltre che batterista di Das Capital. Ha una visione globale della musica e dell'arte, e ciò è l'essenza di questo meraviglioso CD. Non ci sono barriere di stile. È un viaggio di un'ora attraverso un mondo di musica pura, con un suono puro.
05. Archie Shepp - Four for Trane (Impulse! Records - 1964).
Un capolavoro assoluto che ascolto con assiduità.
06. John Coltrane - Africa Brass (Impulse! Records - 1961).
Ascolto Coltrane ogni giorno. Da quando ho sentito Shepp suonare meravigliosamente brani da Africa Brass con la HR Bigband di Francoforte ho iniziato a inserire regolarmente il disco originale nel mio impianto.
07. Alban Berg Concerto for Violin / Thomas Zehetmair (Teldec).
Ho sentito Zehetmair suonare questo pezzo alla filarmonica di Berlino un mese fa. È stata una cosa talmente sublime che ho incominciato ad ascoltare ripetutamente questo disco.
08. Sonny Rollins/Don Cherry Quartet (rlr records - 1963).
Uno dei tanti album che Joachim Kuhn mi ha fatto comprare nelle nostre escursioni alla Fnac. Non sapevo neanche dell'esistenza di questa band, che ha inciso diversi dischi dal vivo, molti dei quali con una resa sonora non adeguata. Ma questo funziona!
09. Steve Lacy - November (Intakt Records - 2003).
Ho passato alcuni giorni con Steve quando stava a Berlino, studiando alcuni dei suoi brani. È stato maestro assoluto nel controllo del suono dello strumento e fonte di grande ispirazione per me. Questo live in solo è molto vicino all'esperienza di quei giorni vissuti con lui.
10. Albert Mangelsdorff - Never Let It End (MPS -1970).
Eroi del jazz tedesco neglia anni settanta. Con Heinz Sauer al sax tenore, uno dei migliori musicisti che conosco.
