Dischi come questo fanno ben sperare per le sorti future del jazz. Vi si intravede una forte personalità musicale, che il ventitreenne contrabbassista di Atlanta esercita sia sul piano compositivo che su quello dell'organizzazione sonora. Intorno a lui cinque altrettanto giovani musicisti, pronti a portare entusiasmo e un trascinante groove contemporaneo, tra suoni acustici ed elettrici.

With Many Hands è un'opera che ha il raro dono della coincisione nel condensare in quarantacinque minuti un ampio raggio espressivo, che copre ritmicamente anche i territori del funky groove e del rock. Si entra subito e con efficacia in media res nei primi minuti del disco. Traccia dopo traccia, cresce l'intensità ed il piacere di abbandonarsi ad un incedere rilassato e ricco di sorprese.

Superbi gli intrecci tra sax alto e tenore nel dare fondo a tutto il loro range espressivo, grazie alla fantasia e la pregevolezza dei brani originali. Intelligente l'uso dell'elettronica intesa come strumento significativo nell'imprimere un segno forte nei brani in cui viene impiegata. Feinberg è un contrabbassista interessato alla dimensione melodica oltre che ritmica, abbinando ad un interplay intenso e serrato una grande fantasia nella costruzione architettonica del materiale sonoro.
