Gianmario Liuni: Un Soffio Soltanto

La melodia come punto di riferimento. La voce umana come prodromo e musa della voce del pianoforte. E' questo il manifesto programmatico del CD.

Un Soffio Soltanto è dunque un album fatto di dolci melodie, con testi sempre poetici, a volte importanti (ad esempio, un estratto dai Mottetti di Montale). Un album che predilige i mezzi tempi ed il registro medio, spesso sussurrato, mai urlato. Un album garbato ed elegante, molto ben suonato ma forse un po' troppo compiaciuto nella sua raffinatezza per essere davvero convincente. Mancano, infatti, quegli alti e bassi (di ritmo, di tempo, di registro, di atmosfera) che conferiscono vitalità ad un album e lo rendono interessante. Ed anche se ogni brano è molto ben scritto, alla fine rimane una sensazione di appiattimento, di eccessiva aderenza ad un'idea che, nata come intento programmatico, si rivela essere una gabbia che limita la libertà e l'espressività.
