Jamie Brownfield

Jamie Brownfield, 23, hails from the village of Llanrhaeadr Y.M. in Mid Wales. He started on the cornet aged 9 playing in the local brass band and by the time he was 12 was performing jazz in public, guesting wherever he could at local jazz clubs. In 2005, when Jamie was 13, he formed his first band 'The JB Quintet' and the following year recorded his first CD 'No Animals Were Harmed......' Jamie has been playing professionally now for many years and is available for any event or session work, playing all styles of jazz from New Orleans to Bebop! Jamie was awarded 1st place in the 'Rising Star' category of the 2012 British Jazz Awards Recordings No Animals Were Harmed.....

The band recently released their second album, “Cali Got A Brass Band” in the start of 2018. Black Tie Brass
Black Tie Brass is a horn driven jazz funk band. Most of the band has been playing together in one way or another since 2008 and formed BTB is 2013. We released our first self-titled album after a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014. We combine some of our favorite funk tunes with arranging pop songs in our own way along side our own originals. We want to keep you dancing and singing a song when you walk out. Our second album was released on January 19th, 2019. “Mostly Covered” has been a long time coming and you won’t be disappointed with our growth as musicians and as a band! Tomasz Dabrowski

Tomasz Dąbrowski is an award-winning Polish trumpeter and composer settled in Copenhagen, Denmark. With eight albums released under his own name and dozens of CDs as a co-leader and sideman, he is considered one of the most gifted trumpeters and composers in Europe. Tomasz has mostly been known for his work with groups TOM TRIO [ nominated to the FRYDERYK AWARD - Polish Music Industry Award], FREE4ARTS, his Japanese quartet AD HOC, string of concerts S-O-L-O: 30th Birthday / 30 Concerts / 30 Cities and projects with Tomasz Stańko, Tyshawn Sorey and Kris Davis, which received raving reviews internationally and created opportunities to tour all over Europe, North America and Asia. Tomasz is a member of a Danish musician-run collective and record label Barefoot Records.

Kurt Thomson
Kurt Thompson started playing trumpet officially in 5th grade. However, by the end of 6th grade, he was last chair and the worst trumpet player in the band. Kurt enjoyed school sports more at that time. During the summer between 6th and 7th grade, Kurt got with a private instructor for the first time and his talent at trumpet became obvious when he actually made an effort. Kurt started 7th grade and by the Christmas concert was 1st chair. Kurt was first chair in almost every band from that point on. Kurt auditioned and made 1st chair and/or solo trumpet at Tennessee All-State Band. Kurt received a full music scholarship to Austin Peay State University where he became 1st chair in every music organization there

Al Muirhead
Al Muirhead Al Muirhead has long been an iconic gure on the Canadian jazz scene. And the trumpeter, composer, arranger, sideman and recording artist has been making listeners take notice for longer than jazz fans might realize. Born in Regina in 1935, he was playing in the Regina Symphony and dance bands by age 12. Muirhead began to take notice of greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Louis Armstrong. While Muirhead’s playing is infused with the indelible in uence of the jazz giants, his owing, melodic sound is his own — and has become in uential in its own right. Marie Goudy

Born in Toronto, trumpet player/vocalist Marie Goudy started her professional career at the age of sixteen. By the age of nineteen, she had already played with many notable musicians including Benny Golson, Cleo Laine and Maria Schneider. Since then she has performed with Michael Buble, Donny McCaslin, Glass Tiger and many others.
She graduated from the University of Toronto's Masters in Jazz Performance program in 2017. She has made her mark on the Toronto music scene playing jazz, funk, mariachi, folk and Latin music, and was a featured soloist in the 2018 SOCAN Awards. Marie has played on three JUNO-nominated albums with folk-funk singer/songwriter Alysha Brilla and toured to France, Chile, Yellowknife, and Singapore with that group. In 2020, Marie came in second place in the Toronto Star Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Local Musician or Band.

earthTone is a modern music ensemble based in Brooklyn, NY, rooted in the elements of jazz, improvisation, soul, funk and groove. The group was started in 2015 by trumpeter Patrick Adams, and also includes his brother Nicki Adams on pianos and synthesizers, Alex Cummings on saxophones, Dan Stein on bass, Mike Mohamed on drums, and Peter Manheim on percussion. Their open and expansive style connects and uplifts others while expressing the joy they feel in music.

Jon C. McGahan

After Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University and Roosevelt University. Mr. McGahan found himself the chief arranger for both the Deja Vu Big Band and the Ron Smolen Orchestra. Since 1986, Jon has been actively composing, arranging and playing Trumpet, Trombone and Euphonium for these groups, as well as the Revolutionary Swing Orchestra and the Sicilian Band of Chicago and other Jazz and Concert bands in the Chicago area, including his own group,the Stardust Big Band.
