Recognized in the vocal jazz performance and scholarship worlds, Ellie Martin is a highly respected vocalist, composer, educator, and Jazz studies scholar. She is currently the vocal jazz instructor at the University of Toledo, as well as Toledo School for the Arts. She performs a wide variety of repertoire from Brazilian music, American Songbook, Bebop, as well as her original compositions. A fearless improviser, Ellie delivers songs with individuality, passion, and honesty. Career highlights include performing at the Pittsburgh Jazz Festival, the Sunset Jazz Festival, and the Michigan Jazz Festival. She was the featured vocalist with the National Arab Orchestra in San Antonio Texas, and performed alongside jazz luminaries Geri Allen, Terri Lynne Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, the New York Voices, Jon Hendricks, and Afro Blue.

Not only has he led his own band over the years, he has also had the opportunity to share the stage with Temple University’s Jazz Lab Band, Vertical Current, Ginger Coyle, Josh Collins, Shelia "Lee Mo" Moser, Rhodney Miller, Raw Beauty and Brittanie Thomas, among others.

Paul St-Amand is a trumpeter, singer, and composer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Packing a sweet sound and lyrical voice, he’s become a mainstay of the city’s live music scene. Previously she was part of an R&B trio with Isai Galvez and Korie Lewis in Orange County, California. My relationship with jazz began at an early age in my grandfathers basement listening to Miles Davis, Grover Washington Jr., and Chuck Mangione to name a few. I love to make and experiement with jazz music vocally. I am also proud that my daughter Rhian is a jazz singer, majoring in music at the City University of New York; she is carrying on the legacy of her grandfather the late Bill Jacobs of the Bill Jacobs Ensemble who was a jazz musician from Queens, NY.
