Peter Kavanaugh

Los Angeles-based guitarist, bandleader, and composer Peter Kavanaugh spent over a decade as a Southern California sideman before taking center stage with his 2015 debut album “Whisper Not” — a selection of lesser-known American songbook gems rooted in electric guitar and vibraphone. The self-released album received airplay on over 50 national radio stations including regular rotation locally on KKJZ Jazz 88.1 fm. Jazziz Magazine called “Whisper Not” “A refreshingly old-school approach to songbook standards … he allows the original harmonies and melodies to shine, even as he overlays tones and textures from his vast library.” With his November 2016 follow-up album “Look for the Silver Lining,” Peter builds on his sophisticated, West Coast Cool Jazz sound with more brass, more blues and ambitious arrangements of songs by Dave Brubeck, Rodgers & Hart and other great 20th century composers.

Gina Kronstadt

Born:

Gina Kronstadt was born in Raleigh North Carolina. Her family was from the South but moved to Salt Lake City Utah after her chemist father was offered a dream job. Gina was surrounded by music constantly while growing up, being that her mother was a lover of Classical music. At the age of 10, she started studying the Violin with members of the Utah Symphony. During her schooling, she was Concertmaster and also singing with both the Madrigals and Jazz band. While studying at the University of Utah and Westminster College, Gina was drawn into Theory, Composition and Arranging. Studying with wonderful professors and having visiting faculty members like Frank Zappa, Jean-Luc Ponty, Clark Terry, Pat Williams, and Tom Scott inspired her to take that passion to the next level. After graduating from college, Gina moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the studios as a Violinist and Singer/Songwriter. Playing on Records, TV and Film (see resume), she still found time to sing for a few jingles, and records before deciding to dive into her own recordings as the Singer, (having studied with Seth Riggs and Robert Edwards) Songwriter, Arranger, Concertmaster and Producer.

Mark Edward Fitchett

Born:

I am passionate about improvisation in all styles of music. This is my love, my joy, my high in life. I get the most satisfaction from this aspect of my live performances. The creativity experienced, especially when I’m “on,” is something I don’t experience in normal everyday life. I had been playing the guitar for a couple of years as kid and was just starting to listen to Santana, Johnny Winter, Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers when one of my friends mentioned that the guitarists were making their solos up on the spot. That just floored me, I couldn’t believe it! I knew right then and there that I had to be able to do that too; thus starting my lifelong quest to perfect the art of improvisation on the guitar. Beginning with garage/basement bands, my friends and I got together and jammed for hours at a time on modal one chord jams, simple progressions and blues

Carla Olson

AllMusic allmusic.com Carla Olson - Have Harmony, Will Travel - Busted Flat Records by Thom Jurek Over the last decade, singer and songwriter Carla Olson has kept busy as a record producer on both sides of the Atlantic, helming sessions by Robert Cray and Chubby Tavares, among others, as well as touring with her own band. Her return to recording is, at least on surface level, a curious one. Olson's desire to cut a duet record has been germinating for decades, but the time was never right until now. She rounded up a host of friends, bandmates, and some of her favorite singers for Have Harmony, Will Travel
