Born:

Dag Magnus Søyland Narvesen is born in Stavanger, Norway. He studied drums at the jazz department at the University of Stavanger (2003-2006), with Per Oddvar Johansen and Stein Inge Brækhus, and at the jazz department at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in Trondheim, Norway (2007-2008), with Tor Haugerud, Ernst-Wiggo Sandbakk and Eirik Hegdal. Dag Magnus Narvesen has since 2005 been a part of Kitchen Orchestra, an improvisation- and contemporary music collective based in Stavanger. He was also involved in the administrative aspects of the orchestra for some years. Apart from that, Dag Magnus Narvesen has been and is involved in many projects, such as Gunhild Seim's Time Jungle, Sasquatch, DaMaNa - Dag Magnus Narvesen octet and a number of other projects involving musicians such as Alexander von Schlippenbach, Johannes Bauer, Fredrik Ljungkvist, Mike Majkowski, Chris Heenan, Klaus Ellerhusen Holm, Stine Motland, Øyvind Storesund and many others.
