Born in Ferrara, Italy, 1982. With an early interest injazz, he takes his first clarinet and saxophone lessons in Ferrara. He attends masterclasses held by Steve Lacy (1998) and Andy Sheppard (2000). He attends the international summer jazz workshops in Siena, Italy. After the 2001 edition he has been granteda scholarship for the 13th IASJ meeting in Helsinki (2002).He plays with Enrico Rava's “Under 21” quintet between 2004 and 2005.He attends the Permanent Workshop held by Stefano Battaglia in Siena from 2004 to 2008. Pianist and composer working as a band leader as well as a sideman. A healthy appetite for different musical expressions has led to work in modern and mainstream jazz, in free improvisation and in indie music as a synth/Wurlitzer player. The debut album AT FIRST (ILK) was released in 2013 and received widespread critical acclaim for its blend of modern jazz and a love and awe of late romantic and 20th century classical piano music. The upcoming release THE LARK (WhyPlayJazz RS028) presents an elaboration of the trademark melodicism displayed on the debut. Peter Williams

Born: August 27, 1971

Grammy Winning Peter Williams is an English born musician living in Copenhagen Denmark. He started his career on bass guitar playing with various rock, funk and blues based artists in Liverpool and Sheffield where he had studied as an engineer. Later he moved to London and worked as a session musician, recording with, amongst others, Urban DK and break beat producer Jim Eliot. He was also in demand on the stage, performing regularly alongside Tears for Fears drummer Manny Elias and being a core member of various covers and R & B bands. Stefan Pasborg

One of the most personal and versatile young European drummers / bandleaders – from groove to abstract! Three time Danish Music Awards-winner and ”Gudman Award-winner” STEFAN PASBORG is a highly energetic drummer from the melting pot of Copenhagen, and after getting a snare drum, a cymbal and a high-hat at the age of three from renowned jazz drummer Alex Riel, he has developed into a very personal musician on the European jazz scene. He has performed and recorded with musicians like: John Tchicai, Marc Ducret, Ellery Eskelin, Tomasz Stanko, Ray Anderson, Tim Berne, Palle Danielsson, Anders Jormin, Miroslav Vitous, Michael Formanek, Carsten Dahl, Jesper Zeuthen, Alex Riel, Dawda Jobarteh, Mikko Innanen, Liudas Mockunas, Kjetil Møster, Lotte Anker and Peter Friis Nielsen among others….And has toured the most of Europe and in USA, Canada, Africa and Asia – in more than 30 countries, on 5 continents, from Shanghai to Vancouver, from Monte-Carlo to Moscow, from Varanger to Casablanca, and from New York to São Paulo – both as a leader and as a sideman. Hans Ulrik is a Danish jazz saxophonist, composer and has several recordings as band leader with the like of Gary Peacock, Adam Nussbaum, Niels Lan Doky, Audun Kleive, Marilyn Mazur, John Scofield and Steve Swallow. Ulrik studied jazz saxophone at Berklee College of Music in Boston (1984–86). He continued his studies after a wisit in New York City (1986) until 1987.
