One of the most personal and versatile young European drummers / bandleaders – from groove to abstract! Three time Danish Music Awards-winner and ”Gudman Award-winner” STEFAN PASBORG is a highly energetic drummer from the melting pot of Copenhagen, and after getting a snare drum, a cymbal and a high-hat at the age of three from renowned jazz drummer Alex Riel, he has developed into a very personal musician on the European jazz scene. He has performed and recorded with musicians like: John Tchicai, Marc Ducret, Ellery Eskelin, Tomasz Stanko, Ray Anderson, Tim Berne, Palle Danielsson, Anders Jormin, Miroslav Vitous, Michael Formanek, Carsten Dahl, Jesper Zeuthen, Alex Riel, Dawda Jobarteh, Mikko Innanen, Liudas Mockunas, Kjetil Møster, Lotte Anker and Peter Friis Nielsen among others….And has toured the most of Europe and in USA, Canada, Africa and Asia – in more than 30 countries, on 5 continents, from Shanghai to Vancouver, from Monte-Carlo to Moscow, from Varanger to Casablanca, and from New York to São Paulo – both as a leader and as a sideman. He is the founding member of successful bands like: Ibrahim Electric, Pasborgs Odessa XL, Toxikum, Firebirds, Free Moby Dick, Delirium … Besides his many bands and projects, he also performs solo-concerts regularly. Hans Ulrik is a Danish jazz saxophonist, composer and has several recordings as band leader with the like of Gary Peacock, Adam Nussbaum, Niels Lan Doky, Audun Kleive, Marilyn Mazur, John Scofield and Steve Swallow. Ulrik studied jazz saxophone at Berklee College of Music in Boston (1984–86). He continued his studies after a wisit in New York City (1986) until 1987. Since 1987 he has been the leader of various bands like Pinocchio (1987), Hans Ulrik Fusion (1988–89), Ulrik/Hess Quartet (1989–90), Hans Ulrik Group (1991–95), Wombat (1995–98), Hans Ulrik Jazz & Mambo (1998-2003) and Hans Ulrik Quartet (from 2003). Jan Kaspersen Pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Born 22 April 1948 in Copenhagen. Studied piano with Duke Jordan, Kjell Olson, and Herman D. Koppel, and jazz theory with George Russell. Study trips to The Gambia, West Africa, in 1983 and 1985. Active on the jazz scene since 1969, primarily in Denmark, but also in Greenland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the USA, and Russia. Danish drummer educated with a diploma degree at the Academy of Music Michael Dalgas' playing is characterised by a great dynamic range, energetic groove as well as a highly developed sense of time. The music of Michael Dalgas is melodic and often melancholy but with great nearness and character. Michael Dalgas' second solo album with Michael Dalgas Trio called "Death of a Tree" is released on the Danish label Gateway Music 29th of July 2020. Started to play the snare drum at the age of 11 in a local marching band. Starts taking piano lessons in high school and was introduced to music theory, fusion and jazz. Was introduced to drummers like Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Ben Riley, Philly Joe Jones and Ed Thigpen. Studied at Vestbirk music folk high school in the spring of 2001 Got accepted at the Conservatory of Music in 2002. Master degree from the Conservatory of Music in 2008. Release debute record as bandleader called "Skylight Lounge", 2009 at Barefoot Records. Release second album as bandleader with Michael Dalgas Trio "Death of a Tree, 2020 Gateway Music. Teaches drums guitar, piano and ensemble playing.
