Fabio Ferri is a Bristol-based multi-instrumentalist and composer whose music sits at the crossroads of jazz, classical and electronic dance culture. Known for high-energy live sets and richly melodic writing, he leads a full band that moves between deep grooves, soaring harmonies and moments of improvisational freedom. His work blends sophistication with immediacy — complex ideas delivered with a sense of fun and forward motion.

A rising voice in the UK scene, he has been called “Bristol’s answer to Frank Zappa” for his imaginative, genre-blurring approach. Ferri has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Shambala and others across the UK, and his Bristol shows are regularly featured as Editor’s Picks on Headfirst.

King Heron

King Heron sprang from the friendship of three strong musical personalities who share a love of exploration, groove and improvisation. The Bristol trio was formed in 2021 after playing together under other guises and finding their feet within the city’s modern jazz scene. Their unapologetically different slant on the traditional guitar trio form takes cues from a wide spectrum of music - funk, jazz, R&B, soul, modern interpretations of jazz and electronic music all form part of their own distinct fusion sound. Riding high on the wave of brass band-influenced jazz, Bristol-based Dakhla Brass are back with a new album – Murmur – on Impossible Ark Records. With their first new release since BBC Introducing & Jamie Cullum presented them at Montreal Jazz Festival in 2016, the unusual line up of four brass players + drummer is augmented with Nostalgia 77 double bassist Riaan Vosloo. (Montreux jazz, Mai jazz, 606 Club, Glastonbury Brecon jazz) ) She has also worked with jazz luminaries Peewee Ellis, Iain Ballamy, and Jason Rebello A self confessed nomad of Iraqi/Welsh origins, she recently returned from performing and teaching in Latin America where she composed the songs for her new album 'Original Love' The album features top jazz flautist Gareth Lockrane and DJ/’congeiro’ Snowboy who also produced the title track and has had a phenomenal reaction on major radio stations in the UK and worldwide
