Dor Herskovits

Dor Herskovits is an Israeli drummer based in Boston. 
 He began pursuing his passion for music at the age of 14, studying drumming and guitar. Dor studied in Rimon School of Music in Israel, while performing with top local artists in the Israeli Jazz scene. In 2010 Dor transferred to Berklee College of Music on an international scholarship. After completing his Bachelor’s degree at Berklee, Dor had spent a year in New York exploring the affluent jazz scene and performing and teaching. During that year he had also participated in the semi-finals of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Jazz drummer competition. Recently, Dor had completed his Masters degree in jazz performance at the New England Conservatory

He is the winner of the 2017 Djangofest North West Saga Award and is a five time winner of the Downbeat Magazine Student Award for jazz guitar soloist

Kevin Sun

Born:

Kevin Sun is a saxophonist and composer living in New York City. His music has been called “...intense, harmonically virtuosic and compositionally complex" by DownBeat Magazine, and he has released seven albums to date—most recently, Quartets, in October 2024.

Sun has also recorded four albums with the ensembles Mute, Earprint, and Great On Paper, and he appears on recordings led by Jacob Garchik, Dana Saul, Xiongguan Zhang, and Elijah Shiffer.

In addition to performing in the U.S., Sun has performed extensively in China and has served as the Artistic Director of the Blue Note China Jazz Orchestra

Joy Reo

In 2014, Joy launched her career as a part-time professional jazz vocalist, performing with the Joy Reo Trio in Boston area venues such as Concord’s Colonial Inn, The Bull Run, and the Acton Jazz Cafe. The Joy Reo Trio is a cabaret jazz band in metro Boston that features soulful, sassy and classy songs that range from 1920s show tunes to 1940s jazz standards and 2010s pop hits. Vocalist Joy Reo is accompanied by the marvelous Molly Flannery on piano, and the divine Diane Heffner on clarinet and saxophone. Flannery has a distinctive fluidity on the piano, with her melodic improvisations, and an ability to groove in jazz, Latin, and Brazilian idioms

Brian De Lorenzo

Talent America's 2001 Performer of the Year BRIAN De LORENZO is equally at home in night clubs, concert halls, and theatres. He has performed in such places as Israel, Wales, Spain, Scotland, Italy, and England, as well as cruise ships in Alaska, the Mediterranean, and crossing the Atlantic. He has sung at clubs such as The Iridium, Birdland, 54 Below, Don't Tell Mama, and Eighty-Eight's in New York; Piaf's in San Francisco; Odette's in New Hope, PA; and at various venues in Massachusetts including Scullers Jazz Club, Club Cafe, and The Crown & Anchor.

Brian earned the title Performer of the Year by winning first place at Talent America's 27th Annual "Talent of the Year Awards" in New York, competing with performers from all over the US.

Brian's debut recording Found Treasures was nominated for the "Recording of the Year Award" by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC)

Jon Dreyer is a Boston-area bassist. He performs regularly with jazz pianist Harvey Diamond, one of Lennie Tristano's last protégés, and with pianist/saxophonist/bandleader/composer James Merenda, both as a member of his band TickleJuice and also in more mainstream jazz settings.

He has also performed with Adam Janjigian, Doug Johnson, Yoko Miwa, Hankus Netsky, Alan Rowe, Mark Shilansky, Alexei Tsiganov, Frank Wilkins, George Garzone, Grace Kelly, Roy Nathanson, Sheila Jordan, Dominique Eade, Jason Palmer, Phil Grenadier, Mike Connors, Dave Fox, Scott Goulding, Bob Gullotti, Joe Hunt, Steve Langone, Miki Matsuki, Austin McMahon, and most of the rest of the Boston jazz community.
