Siyao Wang
During her studies in the United States, Siyao’s repertoire includes numerous international awards, including placing third in the St. Andrew International Piano Competition in Canada and the Best Performance Award for Romantics, as well as the first prize for the TMTA Piano Chamber Music. Additionally, she was influenced and highly applauded by famous American pianists Mayer Spencer and Benjamin Caton as well as world-class piano master, Leon Fleisher.
In recent years, Siyao has been active as a solo piano player on world stages which include Boston Hunneman Concert Hall, Cary Concert Hall, Tennessee Steinway Concert Hall, Boston University Concert Hall, and the United States Steinway Piano Concert Hall.
At the same time, as a chamber musician, she also cooperated with many world-renowned artists, including American violinist Peter Zazofsky, Russian pianist Pavel Nersessian, American musician and educator Robert Merfeld, American singer Matt Hartgrove, and cellist Cherylonda Fitzgerald.
Siyao Wang has also held performances in cooperation with the Yamaha International Education Center for an extended period of time and taught there as an YMES teacher. In addition, she has also been invited to present lectures at Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and to hold masterclasses and solo concerts at Prima Academy in Ontario, Canada.
She has always been committed to promoting the exchange and complementation of Chinese and Western music cultures, and promoting the inclusion of excellent Chinese musical compositions into the Western music industry.
