Shimpei Ogawa

Born in Okazaki, Aichi, Japan in 1994, Shimpei started playing electric bass at the age of 13. He would quickly switch to an upright bass after participating in a local jazz big band workshop and falling in love with the art of jazz. He started taking lessons from Tsuyoshi Shimada and played in the Okazaki Junior Jazz Orchestra: “Beans” where he would learn the styles of Count Basie and other legendary musicians from the “swing era”.  Shimpei moved to Tokyo in 2012 and started playing in local venues while studying jazz and classical bass with Osamu Koichi and Yasuyuki Se respectively

Bassist Alex Boneham is one of the most in demand musicians of his generation, known for his versatility and relentless creative drive. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Alex has worked extensively worldwide with a wide array of artists from across the musical spectrum. After graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium with a bachelor’s degree in music in 2009, Alex spent several years performing, recording and touring in Australia and New Zealand with a who’s who of Australian artists and international touring acts including James Morrison, Mike Nock, Bernie McGann, Dale Barlow, James Muller, Greg Osby, George Garzone, Mike Moreno, Joel Frahm, Will Vinson, Sarah McKenzie, Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, and co-led group The Vampires. Max Gerl

Max Gerl is an acoustic and electric bassist hailing from Dallas, Texas. Gerl picked up the electric bass at 11 and the acoustic bass at 15. He quickly became an integral part of the Dallas music scene before moving to Boston, MA, where he graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music ('17). As a member of the Dallas, Boston, New York, and Los Angeles musical communities, Gerl has performed or recorded with Tia Fuller, Jordan Rakei, Makaya McCraven, Stanley Clarke, Bob Mintzer, Mike Moreno, Shaun Martin, Bernard Wright, Sean Jones, Marshall Gilkes, Chris Cheek, James Francies, Beka Gochiashvili, Cameron Graves, and Mike Mitchell at historic venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, the North Sea Jazz Festival, and the Monterey Jazz Festival

Giuseppe Millaci

Giuseppe Millaci is a bassist, composer and producer. He was born in Sicily on 9 April 1988 and he is living in Belgium since the year 2000.

​He started to play the electric bass when he was 14 years old. Few years later Millaci discovered jazz and the acoustic bass. He listened to several jazz bassists such as {{m: Ray Brown, {{Dave Holland = 5370}}, {{m: Marc Johnson = 8118}}, {{m: John Patitucci = 10152}} and {{m: Larry Grenadier = 29433}}.

In 2011, he participated in the Erasmus Programme scholarship and studied at the Maastricht Academy of Music with the tutor and bassist Philippe Aerts.
Millaci graduated with honors in 2013 (Masters degree) at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under guidance of maestro Jean-Louis Rassinfosse. He continued his training with bassist {{m: Marco Panascia = 27181}} and {{m: Drew Gress = 7228}}.

Luca Sisera

For a good 15 years, Luca Sisera has been a sought-after bassist in the Swiss jazz and improvisation scene. Musically, he likes to operate in the charged environment between composition and improvisation. He is frequently seen on stage at various festivals and jazz clubs across Europe in over 100 concerts each year, whereby some tours and concerts have already taken him to Egypt, China, Jordan, Guatemala and America. To date, he has been involved in over 30 audio releases. Luca Sisera has also started working as a composer for his own quintet “Luca Sisera ROOFER”. As interdisciplinary projects have always interested him, Luca Sisera has also worked with authors, cabaret artists, dancers and visual artists, among others, as well as on theatre and film productions.
