Nils Petter Molvær: Switch
Così, dopo il breve "Intrusion I," ecco il più ampio, pacato, a tratti scuro, quasi spettrale, "Quiet Corners," mentre più prossimo a "The Kit," quindi vitalistico, risulta "Strange Pillows," e via discorrendo. Ovunque il modo in cui la tromba stende le proprie larghe voluteslabbrate, flautate, incruente per eccellenzasopra il tappeto (non di rado capace però di assumere un ruolo più dialettico del solito) srotolato dagli altri strumenti genera una souplesse preziosa e quasi olimpica, anche nei casi in cui (tipo "Bathroom") il mondo (sonoro) sottostante brulica e s'inerpica.
Alla fine si ha come l'impressione che questo universo così monolitico, sferico, sposi (e quindi giustifichi) persino qualche dubbio, e noi con lui: di poter pensare (sperare?), per capirci, che il futuro possa riservarci magari anche qualche piccola sorpresa. O grande, chissà?
