A mixed bag this time around on One Man's Jazz, highlighted by new releases from the excellent trio of Matthew Shipp (piano), William Parker (bass) and Whit Dickey (drums), trios from Switzerland led by pianist Matthieu Mazué and drummer Florian Arbenz, the Belgian trio of guitarist Manu Codjia, bassist Giuseppe Millaci & and drummer Lieven Venken, the guitar/drums duo of Dan Phillips and Hamid Drake, and American ex-pat saxophonist Ghasem Batamuntu.
