Ninni Morgia - Marcello Magliocchi: Season Two

Il chitarrista siciliano Ninni Morgia e il batterista/percussionista pugliese Marcello Magliocchi ci offrono queste otto escursioni in territorio noise che si ciba di scorie jazzistiche per elaborare costruzioni tridimensionali che occupano il tempo e lo spazio in maniera avvolgente e pervasiva. Un approccio radicale alla musica di derivazione industriale che dà buoni frutti, senza lesinare nulla in termini di energia messa in campo.

I due musicisti avevano già collaborato insieme in un progetto pubblicato nel 2011 da Ultramarine e intitolato Sound Gates. Questo Season Two è pubblicato invece da Solar Ipse Audio House, emanazione della fanzine Solar Ipse di Loris Zecchin e arriva inserito in un sovradimensionato contenitore cartaceo che in un mare di bianco e di nero ci offre alcune foto dei due musicisti e un paio di creazioni artistiche che potrebbero essere xylografie, anche se non vengono fornite informazioni ulteriori sull'origine della grafica. Lasciamo dunque che la musica parli da sola.
