Nick Etwell

After graduating from the Royal College of Music, London, in 1996, Nick was awarded the Archer Jazz Scholarship (Postgraduate) to attend Trinity College of Music, London, 1999-2000. Over the 20+ years since he has performed and recorded with a huge variety of well known artists from around the World, touring extensively in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia. He has performed on the World’s most famous stages, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club (London), Palais des Congres, L’Olympia (Paris), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne), the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles), Red Rocks (Denver), Chicago Theatre (Chicago), The Ryman Auditorium (Nashville) and Madison Square Garden (New York).

Major TV appearances include Later with Jools Holland, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Saturday Night Live, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Tonight Show and two live Grammy Awards broadcasts in 2011 and 2013. Nick has also performed at the Worlds biggest music festivals, including Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds (UK), North Sea Jazz Festival (Holland), Rock Werchter (Belgium), Primavera Sound (Spain), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Rock in Roma (Italy), Rosklilde (Denmark), Sziget (Hungary), Fuji Rocks (Japan), Splendour in the Grass (Australia), Lollapalooza (Berlin, Sau Paulo, Buenos Aires, Chicago), Osheaga (Canada) and Coachella, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in the USA.

Nick has been the Trumpet player for British group Mumford & Sons since 2009, performing and horn arranging for their Grammy nominated songs 'The Cave' and 'I Will Wait', as well as their first two albums ‘Sigh No More’ and the Grammy winning ‘Babel’ (2012). He was also part of the Grammy winning long-form music video ‘The Big Easy Express’ (2012).
