Javier Girotto - Francesco Nastro - Avishai Cohen - Roberto Gatto: Sea Inside
Nel 2004, il regista Alejandro Amenabar commosse col suo Mare dentro: la storia di Ramòn, la sensibilità mostrata nell’affrontare il tema dell’eutanasia non aveva paragoni.
Questo CD ha in comune col film, il titolo, ma anche la raffinata poesia.
E per compiere questa attraversata nelle traslucenti timbriche, i tre inscenano il proprio talento vivacizzando quello del napoletano Francesco Nastro, autore di sei brani su 9, per poi firmare un brano a testa. Più che una cataratta che salpa nei mari della disperazione, il loro è un veliero che cambia, all’occorrenza, capitano e rotte in mari tranquilli che evocano serenità più che inquietudini e minacce (“Rough sea”).
Si fa scalo, idealmente, a Napoli (“Il suo lato migliore”, “Meccanica quantistica”). Poi si punta Buenos Aires (“Ann’s Tune”, con Javier Girotto che fa splendere il flauto moxeño, o come quando si ricorda del “pibe de oro” nell’omonima brillante sua composizione) o si fa sosta a Tel Aviv (avevano già parlato del portento bassistico di Avishai Cohen - “Song for Avishai” -, qui intatto ed integro), passando per il mare di mezzo: il Mediterraneo.
Nel mare indistinto dei suoni jazz un CD di trasparenze e lirismo.
