Ghost Town Trio: No Tits But Hits

Questo bel trio svizzero si è formato nel 2009 con un ingaggio di tre mesi in un Techno Bar che in precedenza era stato un Night Club. Nel bel mezzo del quartiere a luci rosse di Zurigo. Evidentemente le ambiguità di fondo dello scenario hanno portato bene a questo piccolo gruppo di giovani musicisti che ha deciso di adottare un linguaggio di sintesi ispirato dalla musica contemporanea, che pesca a piene mani dal repertorio rock e pop per escursioni un po' lisergiche, un po' sulfuree che lasciano un piacevole senso di deja vu senza in realtà essere mai ripetitive e banali.

Il chitarrista Urs Voegeli utilizza diteggiature particolari che cercano sempre di mettere in evidenza le corde vuote della sua chitarra elettrica, per avere una sorta di alone grumoso e ronzante che ci riporta agli esperimenti della fine degli anni sessanta dei musicisti occidentali alle prese con il sitar.

Claude Meier e Lukas Mantel, rispettivamente al basso e alla batteria, sono degni compagni di viaggio, sempre ben integrati nel 'suono' complessivo dominato dalla chitarra di Voegli, sempre pronti a rilanciare la sfida e a spingere in avanti l'autobus scalcagnato, colorato con le tinte dell'arcobaleno, che li porta a spasso per il mondo.
