E la presenza in nove dei diciassette brani del pianista Ran Blake, mentore del nostro oltre che collaboratore di lunga data in diverse incisioni anche per l'italiana Soul Note, è il valore aggiunto dell'album, il fil rouge che rende organico e ben riuscito il rischioso viaggio di Fabris attraverso musiche così differenti.
Registrato in quattro sessioni tra cui una dal vivo a Vilnius in Lituania, con musicisti dai disparati background che si alternano lungo le diciassette tracce, Lettuce Prey sorprende per la grande forza comunicativa nonostante la complessità di alcune rivisitazioni, colpisce per la freschezza che emana prorompente e soddisfa la curiosità che brano dopo brano stuzzica l'ascoltatore.
