Colin L. Orchestra: Infinite Ease - Good Good

Diciamolo subito, la Colin L. Orchestra non esiste: questo doppio album è il chiaro manifesto della vena artistica di Colin Langenus, già noto per la sua attività con Usaisamonster. Per raggiungere il risultato che aveva già in mente nel 2006, quando ha iniziato a lavorare a questo progetto, ha chiamato in lenta successione una trentina di musicisti amici, pronti a girargli attorno. Con loro ha costruito questa musica che profuma di folk e di country, ma si struttura psichedelicamente con le forme del linguaggio rock dei giorni nostri.

La chitarra, nelle varie incarnazioni, da slide a 12 corde, da dobro a sei corde, la fa un po' da padrona nella strutturazione complessiva di questo doppio album, ma non mancano l'armonica, l'oboe, il flauto, le tastiere, il violino. La musica scorre davanti a noi come se ci trovassimo di fronte tanti bozzetti che rappresentano dettagli di un quadro complessivo. Nel primo album i brani sono più dilatati nella struttura e più lunghi nella durata, nel secondo è vero il contrario.

L'obiettivo dichiarato di Colin era quello di fare una musica semplice che piacesse a papà. Probabilmente piacerà anche ai suoi figli...
