I was saddened to hear about the loss of Frank Kimbrough. I had the privilege of speaking with him in March of 2019 for LINER NOTES. I am sharing this episode from June of that year. A deep musician, he says at one point in the interview, that as opposed to striving for stardom, he just wanted to disappear into the music. Thanks for the music, Frank. This episode features music from Frank Kimbrough's recordings Monk's Dreams: The Complete Compositions of Thelonious Sphere Monk (Sunnyside) and Solstice (Pirouet).
