This week we open with one of the hippest jazz singers on the planet, Veronica Swift with a track off an album that is charting very well. This sets a trend of an hour of music that will look into the very rather fluid and exciting state of today's jazz as we move on to Dan McCarthy and Jeff Denson. As a measuring stick of where we have come from, we look into the old school jazz worlds with Henry Levine, Fletcher Henderson, Tempo King and Gary Burton. We also keep a current pulse on things by hearing a tune from Thom Yorke and Flea off the "Motherless Brooklyn" Soundtrack and finish things off with a new release from Kansas City piano cat Matt Villinger.
