Bassist Barend Tromp, Stephan Thelen, Cornelius Claudio, Usein Bekirov, Japanese bands Jizue and Dezolve

We're featuring new music from Swiss Guitarist Stephan Thelen, bringing his signature minimalistic grooves, and Netherlands bassist Barend Tromp, known for his mastery of odd time signatures, in collaboration with Trey Gunn. Also joining the lineup are Ukranian pianist Usein Bekirov and German pianist Cornelius Claudio Kreusch, paired with top-tier bassist James Genus. From Japan we have exciting releases from jazz-fusion bands Jizue and Dezolve, along with funky, energetic keys from Russian keyboard player Valeriy Stepanov. This weeks feature: Japanese Jazz & Fusion Spotlight We turn our focus to legendary and contemporary Japanese acts, including drumming powerhouse Kozo Suganama, fusion giants Dimension and Casiopea, plus two stand out bassists with Tetsujino-featuring Tetsuo Sakurai and Kenji Hino. Also in the mix: Fazjazz with guitarist Koichi Yabori, Next Order-Live-WYSIWYG, returning with Koichi Yabori and Next Order-Live.
