Prendendo in considerazione la scarsa discografia relativa al duo pianoforte-trombone, collocheremmo questo CD più vicino ai duetti di Albert Mangelsdorff (immortalati su dischi per la verità di scarsa reperibilità) che non sui declivi del più recente sodalizio tra Nils Landgren e Esbjörn Svensson. In effetti, il ricordo del mai abbastanza celebrato maestro tedesco scomparso nel 2005 aleggia immanente su questo disco.
