Due organici praticamente identici (fiati + batteria) con un ruolo importante riservato alla tuba. Sembrano lontani i tempi in cui questo strumento aveva ritrovato agilità e stupore, sotto le dita di Howard Johnson o Bob Stewart. Ora i fremiti bassi e rugosi dell'ottone glorioso sono esaltati nei ritmi delle musiche di Henry Threadgill oppure, come nei casi in questione, in musiche compatte di ricomposizione stilistica o in partiture lontane dalle etichette, quasi indefinibili, di Ingrid Laubrock.

Ingrid Laubrock è sicuramente un'ottima musicista. Lo ha ampiamente dimostrato sia come improvvisatrice negli innumerevoli gruppi di cui fa parte, sia come leader: con l'ottetto, con Sleepthief, fino a questo Anti-House, sicuramente il suo organico principale.
