The previous recording by the AALY Trio, comprised of saxophonist (and flutist) Mats Gustafsson, double bassist Peter Janson and drummer Kjell Nordeson, was recorded 25 years prior (Double Or Nothing, Okka Disk, 2002). Those with their ears cocked to the Chicago scene have probably been following these two bands since their respective inceptions in the early Nineties and have no doubt been anticipating this meeting for some time.
