This week Neon Jazz profiles the life and prodigious work of Steve Coleman. From his most recent release, Live at the Village Vanguard, Vol. 1 (The Embedded Sets), to the early days of his career in 1985 with Motherland Pulse. The show features an interview with Steve Coleman about his life in music, playing live at the Vanguard, his love of Bird and more.

Also featured is the New Orleans jazz-rock band Bonerama with a cut off their latest album, Hot Like Fire and the work they did with Harry Connick, Jr., Keith Oxman with a cut off his latest CD Glimpses with the legendary Dave Liebman and the stellar Cecile McLorin Salvant.
