We kick off a new 795th Episode of Neon Jazz with a powerful Denmark-based, American-born bassist and singer in Kristin Korb with material created during the COVID era. From there we hear from vocalist Diane Schuur, who was one of the first real experiences Kristin had in live jazz. We also celebrate a handful of esteemed musicians who left us during the first week of March 2023. In Kansas City, we said good-bye to Ronald McFadden and Ida MacBeth. On the global scale, we said good-bye to Wayne Shorter. Along with music honoring these musicians, we profile new material from Vince Mendoza, Chris Madsen and Vince Ector. Dig the jazz, my friends.
