On this show, great new releases from cutting edge musicians.

Tim Berne has released a new CD with his ensemble Snakeoil. After three albums on ECM it is the first Snakeoil record to be released on Intakt. On this album the quartet is joined by French guitarist Marc Ducret. The band balances the possibilities of composition, improvisation and the tonal possibilities of an electro-acoustic jazz band in a very original way.

The debut album of the duo Treesearch, comprising violinist Keir GoGwilt and bassist Kyle Motl is a work of soulful, virtuosic, and uniquely idiomatic music played across eight strings and a couple of trees. It delivers a synthesis of traditional and exploratory approaches to string-playing.

The third featured album is the debut release by the Swedish duo of Gustav Broman and Albin Vesterberg, two graduates from The Royal College of Music in Stockholm, who have been playing together extensively for the last 6 years.

In between some other great recently released music and some Miles Davis from 1969.
