His rich, warm sound and sense of improvisational daring inform each and every musical situation and he plays with a total commitment to the music in the moment, whatever the stylistic context. His own quartet plays original compositions combining the rhythmic and harmonic complexities of contemporary jazz with the intensity and interaction of free improvisation. They have made a big impression at The Vortex, Manchester Jazz Festival and Ealing Jazz Festival during the summer of 2011 and will be touring nationally in 2012 to coincide with the release of their first album ‘Glimmers’ on FMR records

Chaim Rubinov
Chaim Rubinov, trumpet, flugelhorn, composer and arranger, is a native of Montreal, Canada. He has toured the U.S., Canada and South America and has performed with renowned artists including Marvin Hamlisch, Nestor Torres and Tito Puente, Jr. A talented composer and arranger, Chaim composes Latin Jazz and Latin-Klezmer arrangements which have been performed and recorded by several groups, including Orquesta Nostalgia and the Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra. He has led bands for cruise ships and worked as a studio musician for radio and television commercials. Chaim holds a bachelor of music from the University of North Texas, where he studied with jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd.

Peter Francis
Pete Francis is a Miami-based trumpeter and faculty member of New World School of the Arts and Miami Dade College. He has performed in over a dozen countries and made his living performing in Miami for over 20 years, backing up artists from Celia Cruz to the Manhattan Transfer. Pete is also the director of the Miami Big Sound Orchestra, downtown Miami's resident professional contemporary Latin Jazz big band. The Miami Big Sound Orchestra is a project formed in 2006 at MDC's Wolfson campus as a collaboration of like-minded musicians from Miami's jazz and Latin music communities

Ross began studying the trumpet at age 10 in Seattle, WA. After several years of classical training, Ross began focusing on jazz almost exclusively. Now, he loves to play everything (good) under the sun. Even before extending his studies to Whitman College, Ross was fortunate to have unparalleled performance experiences with the Roosevelt High School Jazz Band. With Roosevelt, Ross toured Scandinavia, performing at the North Sea Jazz Festival and opened for Sting at the Pori Jazz Festival. The band also took top honors at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Competition, and featured Wynton Marsalis on "The Shepherd" in the final performance. Pete Rosa
PETE ROSA has toured as a big band musician for five decades. He has performed with Bob Hope; recorded at Capital and Columbia Studios with Irene Kral, Gisele MacKenzie, Rosemary Clooney and others; backed jazz greats such as drummer Ed Shaughnessy and trumpet player Clark Terry of the Tonight Show, Cat Anderson lead trumpet for Duke Ellington, Gary Burton vibes, drummer Roy Burns and others. Pete has played in trumpet sections with Larry Ford, Canada’s Bobby Herriot, Warren Luening, Dennis Noday, Jim Scargarri, Bobby Shew, and Bill Stapelton to name a few. Today, Pete is known in Sarasota & Manatee counties for his work on Sophisticated Swing, Bob Zimmerman, Jazz Ambassadors and George Carroll Big Bands
