Linda is the lead trombonist of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra under the Artistic Direction of Byron Stripling, Musical Director of the Jazz Central Big Band in Dayton, Ohio, and has had the pleasure of performing and recording with many big bands including the DIVA Jazz Orchestra and Pam Noah's Big Band, and as the former lead trombonist of the Dayton Jazz Orchestra and New Remnants Dance Orchestra, and as vocalist for the Roland Dill Orchestra. Jeff Bush

Apollo, Pennsylvania native Jeff Bush began studying music at the age of four on an unlikely instrument, the banjo. He followed with the piano and then discovered the trombone which has become a lifelong pursuit. Working as a professional musician while still a college student, Bush performed with The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and toured with The Glenn Miller Orchestra. In his final year of undergraduate study, Bush became linked to one of his musical heroes, receiving the Frank Rosolino Memorial Scholarship. The award featured Bush at the 1999 International Trombone Festival and allowed him to study in Berlin, Germany with acclaimed trombonist, Jiggs Whigham. In 2000 Jeff moved to New York City to begin a Master's degree at The Manhattan School of Music and to pursue a freelance career which continues to flourish today

Jon Blondell

We would like to present Jon Blondell to you. His first solo effort “ALIVE the Elephant Room”, was released on Fable Records in July 2010. It is an enticing album with many tracks that everyone can enjoy. Recorded on February 9th and March 7th, 2010 at the Elephant Room, Mark Sarisky produced and engineered the nine-track album in a manner that puts the listener right there in the Elephant Room on the days of recording. After studying at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, he came to Austin and quickly gained the house bass player chair at Antone’s Night Club. There, he performed with acts such as U2, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Charlie Sexton

Nick Finzer

Born: May 22, 1988

Hailed as a “Rising Star” in the world of jazz (DownBeat Critics Poll), Nick Finzer is making waves in the music industry with his dynamic original compositions and trombone artistry. Finzer has toured the globe as a bandleader as well as sharing the stage with some of the most respected names in jazz. As both a headlining trombonist and an entrepreneur, Finzer is on a mission to spread the joy and power of jazz.

Finzer's love for jazz began in his childhood, when he became captivated with the music of Duke Ellington. This passion led him to participate in the annual Essentially Ellington competition at Jazz at Lincoln Center, inspiring him to follow his dreams to move to NYC to pursue a life in music. Finzer went on to study at the renowned Eastman School of Music and then The Juilliard School, where he was mentored by trombone legend Steve Turre.

Nadav Nirenberg

Born: November 7, 1985

At 24, Nadav Nirenberg is quickly establishing himself as a trombonist/bandleader in New York City. In addition to co-leading "Ikebe Shakedown", a Brooklyn-based instrumental Afro-Funk group, he's in high-demand as a session player/sideman in the NYC area, having shared the stage/recorded with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Wyclef Jean, Seun Kuti, Adam Deitch, Streetlight Manifesto, Jose Conde, James Andrews, Brother Joscephus, The Pimps Of Joytime, King Expressers, Zozo Afrobeat, The New Groove Orchestra, Mugwump, Denis Chang and many more artists. Recent venues include The Blue Note NYC, The Montreal Jazz Festival and the TD Toronto Jazz Festival. Nadav is known for his big sound, writing/arranging, sight-reading and versatility, but more for his powerful solo style

Born: September 22, 1976

Internationally regarded as cutting-edge trombonist and a renown producer, composer, orchestrator and “arranger of the first-class” (Harvey Siders, JazzTimes), Doug Beavers has earned a Grammy® for his work on Eddie Palmieri’s Listen Here (2006) and has performed, toured and recorded with Eddie Palmieri (La Perfecta II, Ritmo Caliente, Listen Here), Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Rosemary Clooney (Sentimental Journey, The Last Concert), Hillary McRae, Brian Culbertson, Mingus Big Band, and Pete Escovedo, and many others. His most recent release, Two Shades of Nude (Origin Records), has drawn wide critical acclaim and has currently peaked at #50 on the Jazzweek national radio jazz chart. About Mariel Mariel was born in 1988 in the California bay area, a humble home of musicians, artists, organic weed growers and LGBT rights activists. Some of Mariel's first memories were immersed in music.
