Dave Braham

Dave Braham plays swinging, soulful organ in the tradition of Jack McDuff, Groove Holmes and Jimmy Smith. On his first outing as a leader he shows that he is one of the most underrated and clearly one of the best jazz organists on the scene today. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Dave has carved out a solid reputation playing as a featured sideman with Houston Person, Etta Jones, Willis Gatortail Jackson, Mark Murphy, Johnny Lytle, Irene Reid, Al Grey, Ernestine Anderson, and David Fathead Newman. He has recorded two CDs with Houston Person and Etta Jones and also with Mark Murphy, Johnny Lytle, Lou Donaldson, Al Grey and more recently appears on saxophonist Nat Simpkins "Spare Ribs" and guitarist Eric Johnson's "Makin Whoopie" both on Bluejay Records

Melvin Rhyne

Born: October 12, 1936

Melvin Rhyne was born in Indianapolis in 1936 and started playing the piano shortly thereafter. At 19 years old, Rhyne started playing piano with then-unknown tenor saxophonist Rahsaan Roland Kirk but quickly switched over to the instrument that would make him famous: the Hammond B3 organ. Rhyne's piano skills translated to the organ fluently and before long he was backing famous blues players like B.B. King and T-Bone Walker. In 1959 when he was asked to join fellow Indianapolis musician Wes Montgomery's newly formed trio. Rhyne then moved to Wisconsin and largely kept to himself for the next two decades

Vanessa Rodrigues

Recently relocated to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Vanessa Rodrigues is an accomplished pianist, music educator, and is also one of Canada’s most promising young jazz organists. Vanessa has shared the stage with acclaimed international artists such as Brazilian guitarist Ricardo Silveira, Peruvian bass virtuoso Oscar Stagnaro, saxophonist Ronnie Cuber and trumpeter Randy Brecker, and has studied under Hammond B-3 organist Dr. Lonnie Smith and Colombian Salsa pianist Jaime Henao. She has performed across Canada, Europe and Brazil, and founded a popular yearly jazz organ jam session in Montreal, at which she counts organist Joey DeFrancesco and saxophonist Kenny Garrett among her guests. Vanessa has released 5 albums as a leader: Soul Project (2005); Gale/Rodrigues Group Live at the Rex (2007); Soul Food for Thought (2009); Buckaloose: the 270 Sessions (2010); and Buckaloose: Live at Upstairs (2013); and is the organist on Brazilian guitarist Ricardo Silveira's album "Organ tRio" (2013). Brian Charette

New York City organist/pianist, Brian Charette, has established himself as a leading voice in modern Jazz. Charette is a Grammy-nominated, Hammond-endorsed artist who was the winner of the 2014 Downbeat Critics’ Poll "Rising Star: Organ" award and has climbed to 4th place in The 2016 Critic's Poll main Organ category. This year Brian also won The Hot House Magazine Fan's Decision Jazz Award for Best Organist in New York. Red Young was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up with a classical background and listening to everyone from Van Cliburn (whom he met at age 11), Ray Charles, B.B. King, Lightnin' Hopkins, Ft. Worth natives Delbert McClinton, Ray Sharpe, King Curtis, Freddy King and many other Texas Blues and Jazz Players. He accompanied vocalists, choirs, played in bands and in general grew up with a well-rounded musical education. Upon leaving high school, he first went to North Texas State in Denton, then on the road with trumpeter Clyde McCoy's band in1967 (who recorded Sugar Blues in 1927 and worked thoughout the Big Band era), and performed on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson show from New York

Brian Ho

Born: January 17, 1977

Brian Ho began playing piano at the early age of five taking lessons at both Stanford and San Jose State. By the age of sixteen, he began to play in bands professionally and started teaching piano. After his college years spent studying music at UC Davis, he decided to pursue his love of music as a leader, composer, and arranger. Brian now leads his own group on the Hammond Organ and is an in demand sideman. While Brian still stays rooted in the tradition of classic Hammond Organists such as Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott, and Jack Mc Duff, with his vast knowledge of styles and influences he has developed his own unique and modern take on organ jazz.

Pat Bianchi

Born: December 7, 1975

A modern ambassador of the mighty Hammond B3, organist Pat Bianchi demonstrates a deep knowledge of jazz-organ history yet draws from a wide range of other musical influences. The result is a unique and creative voice that acknowledges the tradition while looking beyond at the same moment. 

His musical tenacity paved the way for 9 CD releases as a leader, extensive tours through out the United States and Europe, appearances at numerous jazz festivals and most recently opening for Steely Dan for 3 consecutive east coast tours. In addition to being a prolific bandleader Bianchi has appeared as a guest on over 30 recordings. The award winning organist has also enjoyed tenured membership in the bands of some of the most highly revered artists in jazz including; Pat Martino, Lou Donaldson, Joe Locke, Ralph Peterson Jr. and Chuck Loeb.
