Mark Weinstein

Flutist, composer and arranger, Mark Weinstein began his study of music at age six with piano lessons from the neighborhood teacher in Fort Green Projects in Brooklyn where he was raised. Between then and age 14 when he started to play trombone in Erasmus Hall High School, he tried clarinet and drums. Playing his first professional gig on trombone at 15, he added string bass, a common double in NYC at that time. Mark learned to play Latin bass from Salsa bandleader Larry Harlow. He experimented playing trombone with Harlow’s band and three years later, along with Barry Rogers, formed Eddie Palmieri’s first trombone section, changing the sound of salsa forever

Andrzej Winnicki

Born: January 26, 1956

The band name WM Project nods to the first letter in the surnames of pianist Andrzej Winnicki and tenor saxophonist Krzysztof Medyna, who are longtime collaborators. They performed together in Europe in the 1980s before relocating to the United States, and in the 1990s, they were members of the band Electric Breakwater. Also, they were both in the band the Komeda Project, which was dedicated to the music of Polish composer Krzysztof Komeda and recorded a few albums, including 2009’s Requiem. For their new band’s debut, the pianist and saxophonist have assembled a terrific lineup: trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, trombonist Marshall Gilkes, guitarist Rafal Sarnecki, bassist Jeff Dingler and drummer Michael Winnicki.

Rufus Reid

Born: February 10, 1944

Rufus Reid is one of a handful of true renaissance figures in the Arts.  This bassist and composer has been an active presence in the jazz world since the 1970’s.  He has recorded over 500 albums, 25 under his own name, with Terrestrial Dance and Always In The Moment released in Vinyl by Newvelle Records.  The 2022 CD release, Celebration, features the jazz trio with a string quartet.  Reid can be heard on recordings with Dexter Gordon, Andrew Hill, The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Quartet, Kenny Barron, Stan Getz, J.J. Johnson, Lee Konitz, Jack DeJohnette and many others.

Sarah Partridge

Born: October 28, 1960

Sarah Partridge grew up in Boston and Birmingham, Alabama, listening to jazz vocalists around the house, soaking up her father’s albums of Ella Fitzgerald, Chris Connor, Dakota Staton, Irene Kral, and Sarah Vaughan. But she was drawn to acting, and ended up majoring in theater at Northwestern University. After graduating in 1982, she worked around Chicago, and landed her first feature role in Tom Cruise’s star-making 1983 hit Risky Business. Relocating to Los Angeles in 1984, she worked steadily in film and television and carved out a niche doing voice-overs (often portraying cartoon superheroes)

Craig Yaremko is a dynamic performer on all saxophones, flutes and clarinets. “An artist who…has a powerful musical personality. Tom Duncan

Born: May 3, 1938

I am the leader and reeds player in Dr. Dubious and the Agnostics, a Dixieland Jazz band playing in the Metro New York area since 1998. We are a hot jazz, 7 or 8 piece band and have performed at First Nights, street fairs, weddings, private and corporate functions, and just about anywhere that people enjoy toe-tapping, good music. We feature female vocals by our pianist; male vocals by me, the eponymous Dr. Dubious; and bass saxophone to anchor the rhythm section.

Jim DeAngelis

This New Jersey born guitarist has plied his trade internationally for more than forty years. A die hard mainstream jazz enthusiast, he has dedicated his life to the rules of straight ahead jazz. Jim's loyality to his chosen idiom is matched by his fidelity to musical friends. Flutist Tony Signa is a twenty five year associate.Jake Kulik more than ten years. DeAngelis has performed for long periods of time with many of the jazz legends i.e. Howard Mcghee, Albert Daily, Maxine Sullivan, Joe Carrol, Sam Jones, Arthur and Red Prysock, Walter Bolden, Calvin Hill, Ted Curson. He has performed all over the east coast of the USA and in England, and has a limited but outstanding Grammy nominated record discography on the Statiras and Stati record labels
