Mike Murray

Born: March 10, 1992

Mike Murray is a guitarist, composer, bandleader and music educator based in Toronto, ON, Canada. Proficient in a wide variety of styles including popular styles, rock, classical, jazz, blues, musical theater, as well as international styles including latin folk, Indian music and more, he performs and records with a diverse array of artists and organizations in many different settings. He also composes and performs his own music with the Mike Murray Group, and performs solo classical guitar for events and functions. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Mike did not come from a musical family and was a relative latecomer to the guitar, picking it up at age 16

Mitch Livstone

Born: May, 1967

Praised by Boston critic Jon Garelick as an artist who “really shines” on the bandstand, Mitch Livstone plays with thoughtful lyricism and brilliant tone colors. A true orchestrator, he courts interactivity among his fellow artists, creating stirring melodies from subtle phrases, and transforming trio gigs into headlining events. For his technical mastery and his inventive improvising, Livstone continues earning recognition among critics, peers and audiences of all ages. 

A highly sought collaborator, the Boston-based guitarist and composer has worked with a roster of diverse artists, including Tim Ray, John Lockwood, Bruce Gertz, Ehud Ettun, Oscar Stagnaro, Mark Walker, Steve Langone, Bertram Lehman, Austin McMahon, Ivanna Cuesta Gonzalez, Ángela Varo and Gary Fieldman, and shared the bandstand with Yoron Israel, Phil Grenadier and Marco Pignataro, among other leaders. Leading his own trio, ML Jazz Collaborative, and supporting others, Livstone has performed across the city at The Beehive, The Lilypad, Mad Monkfish, Zuzu, Latina Kitchen & other popular live music outlets. 

Carlos Henrique Pereira

Born: November 5

Carlos Henrique Pereira is an accomplished composer, piano and acoustic guitar player from one of the most influential and dynamic musical regions of South America, the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

An instrumentalist trained in both classical and jazz traditions, Carlos ventured into composition early in his life and, without any formal training, was named the youngest composer to have a work selected for the Brazilian Contemporary Music Biennial in Rio de Janeiro, where his music was played alongside some of the greatest Brazilian modern composers.

Carlos debuted his first L.P. in his early twenties, and the album’s eight original compositions drew the attention of the British label, Timeless Records, which released the album throughout Europe and Japan.

EBBA

Born: January 25, 2000

NYC-based Swedish singer-songwriter-pianist EBBA is reshaping what it means to be a jazz artist in 2025. A Berklee Presidential Scholar and recent graduate, she moves fluidly between jazz sophistication and raw, modern songwriting, carving out a sound that’s both fearless and arrestingly original.

Fresh off the road with Jon Batiste adding keys and vocals to his global tour and to his latest album Big Money, EBBA has already proven she can hold her own alongside one of music’s most adventurous voices. She also co-writes and performs with New York outfit Dana and Alden (Concord Jazz), further flexing her range across genres.

Jake Gotlieb

Born: December 15, 2005

Jake Gotlieb is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Marin County, California. He blends a variety of genres and musical styles based on explorations into musical traditions from around the world. As a pianist, Gotlieb brings classic jazz standards to life with his own interpretations of familiar works as well as playing original compositions that incorporate his love of musical experimentation. As a composer, Gotlieb has released a variety of original music incorporating elements of jazz, blues, classical, and prog rock.

Mike Bruzzese

Born: October 31, 1996

An active figure in Montreal’s vibrant music scene, Mike performs regularly both as a bandleader and a sideman. He has also appeared at prominent jazz venues across Canada. His performance and recording credits include collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Louis Hayes, Lenny White, Ben Solomon, Davis Whitfield, Miki Yamanaka, Emilio Modeste, Adam Arruda, Terry Clarke, André White, Kevin Dean, Ira Coleman, Caity Gyorgy, and Laura Anglade, among many others.

Mike assembled a talented quartet for his debut album, Even When I’m Dreaming. It features Gentiane MG, Ira Coleman on bass, Michel Lambert on drums, and special guest vocalist Caity Gyorgy. Through this project, Mike continues to find new ways to bring his music to life.

Alon Stern

Born: November 11, 1983

Alon Stern is an Israeli bassist, composer, producer and music educator based in Pardes Hanna-Karkur. His artistic work moves between contemporary jazz, Mediterranean influences and cross-genre musical collaborations, combining performance, composition and cultural initiatives.

Stern studied jazz music at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he specialized in electric bass and double bass, and later earned a master’s degree in music education. Alongside his academic studies he also explored film scoring and composition, an influence that shaped his narrative and cinematic approach to musical writing.

Libor Smoldas

Born: March 17, 1982

Libor Šmoldas from Prague is widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading jazz guitarists. Critics praise his smooth, effortless, and melodic approach, as well as his genuine passion for jazz and for connecting with his audience.
He has worked, toured, and recorded with international stars such as James Morrison, Bobby Watson, Jon Faddis, George Mraz, Jeff Ballard, Adam Nussbaum, Gregory Hutchinson, Sam Yahel, and Brian Charette.
Libor performs at some of the world’s most prestigious jazz venues, including Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express in London, Smalls and Iridium in New York City, B‑Flat in Berlin, Le Duc des Lombards in Paris, Porgy & Bess in Vienna, and the Recital Centre in Melbourne, as well as numerous Blue Notes and Birdlands worldwide

Oscar Caucaly

Born: March 30, 1985

Oscar Caucaly’s musical story begins in Bogotá, where as a teenager he immersed himself in salsa and Latin jazz. Those early years—filled with clave, improvisation, and rhythmic exploration—became the foundation of his artistic identity. From there, he dove deeply into the jazz tradition, embracing bebop language, straight-ahead repertoire, and modern jazz concepts that would define his evolving voice.

After studying at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, he continued his formation in Barcelona at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, supported by Fundación Carolina. He later completed a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at New York University, where he worked closely with masters such as Alan Broadbent and Ari Hoenig, and performed under the direction of Alan Ferber and Chris Potter at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City.
