Alba Careta

Alba Careta is a jazz trumpeter and singer born in Avinyó (Catalonia) in 1995. After finishing her studies in the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and the prestigious Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, she returned to Catalonia.

Despite her young age, she has released five albums as a leader: Orígens (2018), Alades (2020), Teia (2023), Udolç (2023), and Panical (2026), where she combines her own compositions with music rooted in Catalan traditions. With these different albums, she has performed in renowned venues and prestigious festivals such as Jazzahead (Bremen, Germany), Saalfelden Jazz Festival (Saalfelden, Austria), Jazzaldia (Donostia, Spain), Bimhuis (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Opus Jazz Club (Budapest, Hungary), the Madrid International Jazz Festival, the Eivissa Jazz Festival… among many others.

In addition to her own projects, she also takes part in other ensembles of various styles thanks to her versatility as a performer: Adrian Younge & his orchestra (Something about April III European Tour), Libérica (Alé), OMAC (Folk Music Orchestra from Catalonia), Orquestra Sònica, Extraño Weys Orquestra, Cris Lópezz, Ulls Clucs… among many others.
