by Serena Antinucci

Proprio lì dove la composizione prende forma in uno spazio neutro, senza confini, entriamo nel sistema musicale di Notes With Attachments del bassista Pino Palladino e del ...

by Mike Jurkovic
Maybe it's the nuances she's picked up sharing stages with Rashied Ali, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys, or a deep intuition not only into jazz, but also into James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone. Perhaps it's her Washington Heights sidewalk sense that, no matter the game, you play and play alike. Or that you ...

Marcus Strickland

It has already been an exciting career for Miami-raised soprano and tenor saxophonist Marcus Strickland, who has two releases on Fresh Sound New Talent Records as a leader ("At Last" and "Brotherhood") and currently plays with Dave Douglas, Jeff 'Tain' Watts and Michael Carvin. Although the aspiring saxophonist has been on two grammy-nominated recordings in a row (Fountain of Youth - Roy Haynes & Keystone - Dave Douglas), the most intriguing part is that Strickland's career has just begun.
