MONIKA HOFFMAN is a Swedish singer with Hungarian-German roots. She is at home not only in classical music, latin, jazz and pop, but also in three languages, namely Swedish, Hungarian and English – all of which she uses for shades of musical expression that are quite distinct. Monika Hoffman studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she played with legends like Michael Brecker and Charlie Haden. In Hungary she became well known for participating in the TV show Megasztár – Voice of the Year, which resulted in a recording contract and a spot in the Hungarian finals for the Eurovision Song Contest

Ben Bierman is a Brooklyn-based trumpet player, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. In his compositions he incorporates elements of jazz, blues, Latin music, and the Western art music tradition. His music can be heard on Some Takes On the Blues (Plaza Street Music PSM 101, 2019) and on Beyond Romance: Songs by Ben Bierman (New Focus Recordings FCR 141, 2013). As a trumpet player, Ben has performed with a wide array of artists, including Johnny Copeland, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Pacheco, Machito, Johnny Colon, Archie Shepp, and Arthur Blythe. He is the author of Listening to Jazz (Oxford University Press), has essays in numerous books and journals, and is an Associate Professor at John Jay College, City University of New York

He recently appears, as in the leading role, on the Kevin Hæfelin's film, TRUMPET, which has received awards from internationally recognized film festivals, including the Best Short Audience Award at the 42nd Max Ophüls Preis, the Best Short Comedy Award and Ambassador Award at Rhode Island International Film Festival, and the Audience Award at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia. Now, Mao mainly works on his music with his acoustic trio, his electric quartet "Brightness of the Lives", which will release the new CD album in January 2022, Mao received a full scholarship at Berklee College Of Music in 2010
