FROM CLASSICAL LANGUAGES TO JAZZ Judith is music. Starting at a young age she participated in talent shows with her own songs. The piano at home is often played and used for private try outs and classical lessons. After graduating in Greek and Latin, Judith studied Jazz at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. She now mainly focusses on writing her own material and creating new versions of old songs. Jazz remains her true love. MONIKA HOFFMAN is a Swedish singer with Hungarian-German roots. She is at home not only in classical music, latin, jazz and pop, but also in three languages, namely Swedish, Hungarian and English – all of which she uses for shades of musical expression that are quite distinct. Monika Hoffman studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she played with legends like Michael Brecker and Charlie Haden. In Hungary she became well known for participating in the TV show Megasztár – Voice of the Year, which resulted in a recording contract and a spot in the Hungarian finals for the Eurovision Song Contest

Ben Bierman is a Brooklyn-based trumpet player, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. In his compositions he incorporates elements of jazz, blues, Latin music, and the Western art music tradition. His music can be heard on Some Takes On the Blues (Plaza Street Music PSM 101, 2019) and on Beyond Romance: Songs by Ben Bierman (New Focus Recordings FCR 141, 2013). As a trumpet player, Ben has performed with a wide array of artists, including Johnny Copeland, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Pacheco, Machito, Johnny Colon, Archie Shepp, and Arthur Blythe. He is the author of Listening to Jazz (Oxford University Press), has essays in numerous books and journals, and is an Associate Professor at John Jay College, City University of New York

Born in London, Katriona grew up with a background of music and tennis, her father is former UK and International tennis champion Roger Taylor. Seeking intellectual fulfilment, Katriona qualified and practised as a city lawyer, before her love of music enticed her to forge a new career as a full time singer. After gaining a Masters qualification in acting and singing at London’s prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama, and with an absolute passion for Latin music and jazz, Katriona began writing her own songs
