Murph Aucamp

A native of South Florida, percussionist Murphy Aucamp began playing drums at the age of 6 and later congas after discovering his passion for Cuban music. Murphy studied classical percussion at Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, while simultaneously studying rumba in the streets of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. He is a graduate of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he studied under Steve Rucker, Dafnis Prieto, and John Yarling. Murphy’s performing credits include appearances with Gloria Estefan, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Blue Man Group, Arturo O’Farrill, Quincy Jones, Dayramir Gonzalez, Daymé Arocena, Jon Secada, Néstor Torres, Orlando “Maraca” Valle, Nu Deco Ensemble, Palm Beach Symphony, Symphony of the Americas, and as a soloist with the Amarillo Symphony

Noted for his superb artistry as a guitarist and composer, Donato's versatility affords him equal comfort in many venues. With roots firmly planted in the tradition of mainstream jazz, his scope of musical interest is nonetheless wide. These influences can often be heard shaping his own unique voice as composer and arranger. A resident of the Washington D.C. area since 1982, Donato has appeared with top local and national artists, as well as leading many of his own groups in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean

Anthony K Wright

Tony began playing brass at school, before moving to Clarinet at the age of 12, and Saxophone a bit later. He turned professional in the early ‘80s, playing sax as a session musician in London, and running various rock bands in night clubs and on the gig circuit in London and South Wales. He maintained his interest in the Clarinet, and in the early ‘90s began playing jazz on the circuit in the West Country, whilst teaching on the Performing Arts syllabus at North Devon College. Moving to Surrey in ‘98, he is now widely known as a Reeds teacher, with students ranging from adult beginners to advanced Grade 8 and Diploma-level specialists

His career as a performer on bass and Double Bass is complemented by other areas within the recording and music production. Composer and arranger, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has developed through research and experimentation of the instrument, new ways and techniques of execution, which together with the influence of musical styles from Europe, Africa, North & Latin America; concur to enrich his music. In the scene, he has collaborated with great musicians of international stature such as Hermeto Paschoal, Greg Osby, Tom Coster, Paquito D’Rivera, Adam Rapa, Osmany Paredes, Jovino Santos Neto, Misha Piatigorsky, Robertinho di Paula and Henry Cole. He currently lives in Mexico City, where he has participated in a number of cultural events and festivals with important musicians of Mexican jazz scene such as Hector Infanzón, Cris Lobo, Chucho Lopez, Enrique Nery, João Henrique, Elizabeth Meza, Alex Mercado, Roberto “Betuco” Arballo, Victor Patron, to name a few. Marcos in now touring and promoting his new album "Feira" in several venues and festivals with his Trio being accompanied by the best musicians in Mexico City's jazz scene.

EARLY INFLUENCES
Born in 1985 in Duffel, Belgium, music has been a pervasive presence in Tuur’s upbringing, during which his father, passionate for the blues, played the guitar and drums while his mother was immersed in her love for world music. She would take Tuur as a child to an annual world music festival, Sfinks, where Tuur could admire big names like Ali Farka Touré, Salif Keita, Youssou N’Dour, Mori Kanté, Baba Maal, Goran Bregovic, Buena Vista Social Club, Rubén Gonzáles… Tuur reminisces about laying on the couch as a child, listening to Miles Davis, Bobby Mc Ferrin, Salif Keita, Paul Simon, Gilberto Gil, Tower of Power, Wayne Shorter, and such varied influences. After hitting improvised paper boxes, mother's pans and "Fisher Price" drum sets at the age of 3, and later taking over daddy’s drum set on the attic, Tuur’s formal musical journey began at age 8, when his parents subscribed him for classical percussion at the music academy of Mechelen (BE).

Chaim Rubinov
Chaim Rubinov, trumpet, flugelhorn, composer and arranger, is a native of Montreal, Canada. He has toured the U.S., Canada and South America and has performed with renowned artists including Marvin Hamlisch, Nestor Torres and Tito Puente, Jr. A talented composer and arranger, Chaim composes Latin Jazz and Latin-Klezmer arrangements which have been performed and recorded by several groups, including Orquesta Nostalgia and the Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra. He has led bands for cruise ships and worked as a studio musician for radio and television commercials. Chaim holds a bachelor of music from the University of North Texas, where he studied with jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd.
