Johannes Felscher

Johannes Felscher is a New York based bassist and composer at home in many directions in music. Born 1983 in Nuremberg, Germany his musical path took him to Wuerzburg, Stuttgart, Amsterdam and finally New York, where he earned a Masters Degree from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. He also holds a Bachelors Degree from the Conservatory of Amsterdam and an Artistic Diploma from the Conservatory of Stuttgart (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst). Johannes Felscher performs on upright and electric bass alike, covering a broad range of styles reflecting his wide interest in everything music and natural feel for groove and harmony regardless of genre. Unsurprisingly his experience as a performer covers an broad range of ensembles, artists and settings such as the Amsterdam Jazz Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Stuttgart, State Opera Stuttgart, Benjamin Herman, Gerard Presencer, Bobby Sanabria, Jasper Blom, Rainer Böhm, Bodek Janke, Lutz Häfner etc. Johannes Felscher is working as a freelance bassist, composer and recording engineer in New York City.
