Shambhu

Born:
Shambhu (pronounced 'SHOHM-boo') transforms stillness and silence into calming sounds. He's an acclaimed jazz guitarist and composer who the Marin Independent Journal called "a consummate guitarist". Common Ground says, “Shambhu is at once precise, skilled, sensitive and inventive way beyond the norm.”
Shambhu worked with Grammy-winning record producer Will Ackerman on his 2010 debut release, "Sacred Love," which reached #1 on the ZMR (Zone Music Reporter) New Age music chart. Shambhu's second album, "Dreaming of Now," also produced with Ackerman, reached #2 on ZMR, and won Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the ZMR Music Awards (2014). His third release, "Soothe," reached #11 on ZMR and saw two songs move into rotation on Sirius XM.

Paul Bomar

Inspired by musically-adept family, Paul Bomar started his musical journey at the age of 13 by picking up a used beginner guitar and learning a few rock tunes. Upon receiving a dubbed copy of Miles Davis's "'Round About Midnight" at the age of 16, he developed a love for jazz that has only grown in the years since. After playing in several funk and rock bands, Paul set out to share his passion for jazz with the Raleigh-Durham area and performed with his own groups and other jazz combos, as well as working as a session musician for numerous performers in the area. Paul plays, as described by others, "tastefully, economically, tunefully, swinging", drawing from traditional influences such as Kenny Burrell and Jim Hall as well as more recent players such as Ed Bickert and Peter Bernstein. He's currently working with bass player Tony Grey and drummer David Throckmorton playing jazz fusion. His work overlaps many genres such as jazz, free improvisation and the blues. Since 2008 he has been active in the jazz and improvisational music scene of Mexico, USA and Central America, working with musicans such as Gustavo Nandayapa, Brian Allen, Hans Glawischnig, Blair Latham, Gabriel Puentes, Tyler Mitchell, Pablo Aguirre, Elliott Levin, Adonis Rose and many others. From 2012 to 2018 he was a faculty member at the Jazz and popular music program at UNICACH in Tuxtla Gutierrez Chiapas

Having graduated as an architect from the Technical University Budapest (BME), and as guitarist from the Jazz Faculty of the Béla Bartók Conservatory, he started to play in leading Hungarian jazz bands. He founded his own band, the group „Kaszakő” in 1975, which had a really original sound. Their first record was published under the title Édenkert (Garden of Eden) in 1983. He formed the group „Things” with sax player Tony Lakatos in 1985, which functioned for a period of seven years. During his career he played with such world famous jazz musicians as Randy Brecker, Anthony Jackson, James Moody, Tommy Campbell, David Friedman, Gary Willis, Hiram Bullock, Billy Cobham, Miroslav Vitous, Peter Erskine, Bob Mintzer, IlaiyaRaaja, Jimmy Haslip, Russell Ferrante and Patti Austin.
