I started my serious relationship with music when played bass guitar on the Kiev based electronic project. Than a long and incredibly happy time I lived in the mountain, where opened another and best instrument, who always with you, voice. I learned to sing with a nightingales and other birds, copying, not always successfully, their trills in the garden. At the same time I really fall in love with the modern instrumental jazz. I was motivated to move away from of Euclidean geometry in the art to the direction of more completely and beautiful natural forms.

Daniel Davis

Born: February 22, 1989

Daniel D. is a three time 1st Place Apollo Theater Winner and studied at NYC's Juilliard School of Music. He has become one of the most popular new age social media superstars with a constantly growing international fan base. A seasoned performer with seven studio albums to his credit. Daniel D. has opened for Kim Waters, Boney James, Jamie Fox, Kanye West, Najee, K'Jon, Lalah Hathaway and performed for Oprah Winfrey, the late Michael Jackson as well as President Barack Obama. He has been the lead act for many Jazz festivals and performs all around the world.

Meetings

At the moment the art projekt Meetings is happening in Malmö. The project aims to enable meetings between musical voices within a creative space based on improvisation. The idea was formed in the summer of 2017 by the musicians Jesse Emmoth and Kasper Lindberg as a reaction to the somewhat introvert sphere that improvised music often live inside. The goal was to create a musical context that is appealing and accessible for the general public and also appealing for the musicians that is invited to participate. In August “The Archipelago Suite” was performed with Josef Kallerdahl and Fredrik Davidsson as featured guest followed by “The Moody Comfort Suite” in November in which Johan Lundberg, Andreas Andersson and Mattias Hjorth participated

Tony Bray

Born: June 15, 1963

Tony Bray studied jazz improvisation and jazz pedagogy with renowned educator Jerry Coker at the University of Tennessee. Also with William Scarlett, Bennie Wallace and Warne Marsh at this time. Graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz. After college he went on to teach theory and production classes as part of the Commercial Music program at the Antelope Valley College in California. He was also responsible for setting up the first “Small Jazz Group” program at Cal State Northridge. Since then, Tony traveled the world as a sax player and keyboardist, playing music on cruise ships, clubs and casinos from Las Vegas to Singapore

Jeff Oster

Born: May 31, 1957

Described as Miles Davis meets Pink Floyd, Jeff’s sound is unique, combining New Age beauty and progressive rock. Jeff’s albums feature esteemed contributors such as guitarist Nile Rodgers, iconic bassist Chuck Rainey and legendary drummers Bernard Purdie and Keith Carlock. Jeff’s accolades include: ZMR Album of the Year (5x winner), multiple #1 albums on NPR’s Echoes, and multiple Independent Music Awards.

Jeff is a founding member of the group FLOW, comprised of Will Ackerman, Fiona Joy, Lawrence Blatt and Jeff Oster, of course. FLOW took home this year’s ZMR Album of the Year, and the IMA for Best New Age Album. They are performing all over the continent, including a September 28 appearance at Carnegie Hall in NYC.

Al Muirhead

Al Muirhead Al Muirhead has long been an iconic gure on the Canadian jazz scene. And the trumpeter, composer, arranger, sideman and recording artist has been making listeners take notice for longer than jazz fans might realize. Born in Regina in 1935, he was playing in the Regina Symphony and dance bands by age 12. Muirhead began to take notice of greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Louis Armstrong. While Muirhead’s playing is infused with the indelible in uence of the jazz giants, his owing, melodic sound is his own — and has become in uential in its own right. He unleashes melodies that are incredibly inventive and utterly timeless

Juan Dhas

Born: May 4, 1994

uan Dhas is constantly seeking to push his limits and abilities as a guitarist, a composer, and an improviser. Born in Dubai, UAE, to a Colombian mother and Indian father, Juan encountered duality and global influence from a young age. After studying classical piano, Juan began playing Guitar at the age of 12 and went on to attend Berklee College of Music, where he studied with musicians such as Tim Miller, Dave Fiuczynski, and Scott DeOgburn, among many others.

Before graduating in 2014, Juan released his debut album, Embracing Clarity. The album introduced new listeners to his thoughtful, deliberate, and intense approach to guitar playing in tandem with his lyrical and intricate compositional style. Embracing Clarity was described as “very impressive in that Dhas exhibits a distinct musical personality at such an early stage of development” (All About Jazz). The album saw critical acclaim, with numerous reviews and international radio airplay in the US and various countries in Europe and Latin America

Emiliano Lasansky

Born: January 6, 1993

The music of bassist and composer Emiliano Lasansky unifies elements of the past and present in exciting and unexpected new ways. Born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa and currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, Emiliano currently maintains a busy schedule as a performer across the West Coast and beyond. Recent highlights include a 2024 composition award in the Bridges Competition - David Baker Prize at the Ravinia Music Center, 2023 ASCAP Foundation composition award as well as a master’s degree from the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA (formerly the Thelonious Monk Institute).
