Rick Swann

Rick Swann (born October 10, 1989) is a Northern Irish musician/producer primarily based in the Jazz genre & highly regarded as one of Irelands finest trumpet players. Rick has been featured on numerous high profile bills on stages ranging from London's 'Royal Albert Hall', to Belfast's 'Odyssey Arena'. Having performed on live stages in a professional setting since the age of 12, Rick has developed a much respected and influential role within the Irish & U.K Jazz scene. Swann currently works on a range of high profile residencies primarily focused on facilitating and growing the Northern Irish Jazz Scene as Artistic Director of the newly established Jaxx Jazz Club (Belfast) & Atlantic Jazz Club (Portrush)

Connor Burnside

Born: March 24, 1992

Connor has been playing from the age of 11. He was taught by john wilson the drummer from taste and rory gallagher and them with van morrison. John taught connor for 5 years and now he is taking lessons from david lyttle. Connor has been sitting in and playing with some of the top players in ireland and the UK such as Linley Hamilton, Nicky scott, Mark Mcknight, Julie Folis. He has also sat in with players like Nick Morgan. Connor wants to apply for berklee university next year and keep practicing to be the best drummer/musician he can be.

Linley Hamilton

Born: March 17, 1965

Linley is a jazz trumpet player, educator and broadcaster who lives in Ireland. He is also curator at Magy's Farm, a specialist jazz music venue in County Down that has hosted concerts by Jim Beard and Jon Herington, Paul Dunlea with Steve Hamilton, John Donegan Quintet, Seamus Blake and Bill Carrothers, Ari Hoenig, Tom Ollendorff and Conor Chaplin, Paul Booth Quintet and many more. He is also a Doctor of Jazz with specialist research in dynamic contouring as a partner to tension and release. Linley has 5 studio albums as leader:

Meilana Gillard

Born: May 4, 1981

Ohio raised (London-born) saxophonist and composer Meilana Gillard emerged as a rising star on the New York scene whilst studying at the New School in the early 2000s.

She has worked with U.S. icons Charli Persip, Christian McBride and also Greg Osby, who released her debut album Day One on his Inner Circle Music label in 2009, as well as Debbie Reynolds, Glenn Campbell and the New York all-female big band DIVA. Based near Belfast since 2012, she's now set to release her second album Dream Within a Dream on May 26th via Lyte Records.

Choosing a chordless trio format, Meilana features MOBO nominated drummer David Lyttle, who has featured her in his own trio and alongside trumpet star Terell Stafford, and whose own recent studio collaborations include Joe Lovano and Talib Kweli
