His career as a performer on bass and Double Bass is complemented by other areas within the recording and music production. Composer and arranger, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has developed through research and experimentation of the instrument, new ways and techniques of execution, which together with the influence of musical styles from Europe, Africa, North & Latin America; concur to enrich his music. In the scene, he has collaborated with great musicians of international stature such as Hermeto Paschoal, Greg Osby, Tom Coster, Paquito D’Rivera, Adam Rapa, Osmany Paredes, Jovino Santos Neto, Misha Piatigorsky, Robertinho di Paula and Henry Cole. He currently lives in Mexico City, where he has participated in a number of cultural events and festivals with important musicians of  Mexican jazz scene such  as Hector Infanzón, Cris Lobo, Chucho Lopez, Enrique Nery, João Henrique, Elizabeth Meza, Alex Mercado, Roberto “Betuco” Arballo, Victor Patron, to name a few. Marcos in now touring and promoting his new album "Feira" in several venues and festivals with his Trio being accompanied by the best musicians in Mexico City's jazz scene.

Steve Bulmer is a multi-dimensional musician actively performing and recording on upright bass, electric bass and tuba. A native New Englander from Connecticut, Steve enjoys a very active career that spans many musical idioms including jazz, classical, musical theater and pop/rock. Initiated on piano at age 6, his music journey sent him acoustically lower and lower as he was drawn to the inspirational role the bass plays both rhythmically and harmonically in all type of musical idioms. Steve was formally trained at the Eastman School of Music where he received a bachelor’s degree in both Music Education and Music Performance

Silvia Bolognesi

Born in Siena, Silvia Bolognesi graduates in double-bass at the “R. Franci Institute” with Andrea Granai while attending Alberto Bocini’s double-bass classes at the “G.Verdi Institute” in Prato. Her approach to jazz starts by following lessons at the “Siena Jazz Foundation” with F. Spinetti and by attending summer courses (1998-1999) organized by the same Institute, studying with Furio di Castri, Ettore Fioravanti (ensemble music) and Giancarlo Gazzani (big band). As well she attends the course “High level qualification for Jazz Performers”, founded by the European Union (with Furio di Castri, Mario Raia, Stefano Zenni and Francesco Martinelli) and the “Trio course” directed by Stefano Battaglia, Paolino dalla Porta and Fabrizio Sferra. Furthermore, she participates in the “Musical Research Lab”, directed by Stefano Battaglia.

Matteo Bortone

Double bass player/composer, Matteo Bortone is making a name for himself among the rising talents of the newest jazz generation, not only as an instrumentalist but also as a composer and bandleader, expecially after being awarded as “Best New Talent 2015”in the annual poll held by the journalists of italian jazz magazine Musica Jazz.

Italian but musically raised in Paris, where he earned a Jazz Master Degree at highly-respected Conservatoire Nationale Superieur (CNSM), Matteo leads two bands: “ClarOscuro”, a brand new trio with pianist Enrico Zanisi and drummer Stefano Tamborrino (recording is scheduled for May 2017) as well as TRAVELERS a french/italian quartet with saxo player Antonin-Tri Hoang, drummer Ariel Tessier and guitarist Francesco Diodati. With Travelers, Matteo released two albums : his debut in 2013 (“TRAVELERS” Zone di Musica Label) has been highly-welcomed by international press, receiving some important awards as “Révélation Jazzman” (revelation young new talent) and “Jazz Découverte” in France as well as “Jazzit Likes it” in Italy. The album was also unanimously nominated among “one of the best jazz releases in 2013” by italian magazine JAZZIT.

Martin Senders is a Double Bass player living in 's Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands. He studied bass at the conservatories of Arnhem and Enschede with Henk Haverhoek and Ruud Ouwehand. Graduated on Bassguitar and Double Bass but primarily works as a Double Bass player. ebastian Gramss (Cologne, Germany) is a German double bass virtuoso and composer of jazz and contemporary music. In 2013 he received the ECHO Jazz national instrumentalist of the year award for the bass. He studied double bass and composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and at the Cologne University of Music. Since 1988 he is mostly active in the field of jazz, improvised and contemporary music as a composer, soloist and a member of numerous bands. He has released more than 20 CDs under his name. These include those from the band Underkarl, as well as from the trios Slowfox (with Hayden Chisholm & Philip Zoubek) and Fossile 3 (with Rudi Mahall & Etienne Nillesen). His activities include his solo works (Atopie), a long term bass duo series (started with Stefano Scodanibbio in 2008, and continued in 2013 with Barre Phillips, Tetsu Saitoh, and in 2014 with Mark Dresser), the Cologne-based quartet BASZ, an international quintet (Barre Phillips ́s Crossbows), up to his international 11 piece international double bass ensemble Thinking of ..., and the Bassmasse orchestra with 50 bass players. He has composed for radio drama, movies and theatre and – among others – for choreographer Pina Bausch. In 2007 he created the Spacebass (basso d’amore), a modified 4 string double bass with the addition of 12 sympathetic strings. He teaches at the Cologne University of Music and University of Osnabrück, and gives master classes around the world

Ian Rashkin

Ian Rashkin graduated from the University of Washington School of Music, Seattle, where he studied double bass with Barry Lieberman and composition with Kenneth Benshoof. Since then he has composed works for the Degenerate Art Ensemble, Seattle EXperimental Opera, Seattle Repertory Theater, New City Theater, Synnara Records, and many more, as well as scoring films for Funhouse Films, GR Films, and others.
